November Challenge:
The theme for the CGGE’s November Challenge is “Thankful For….”
As the title implies, this is a good time of year for all of us to think of the things in our lives that we are thankful for -- our families, our health, our freedoms, and so much more.
Each person’s blessings are as diverse as their individuality. Therefore, we encourage you to pause, observe and reflect on the things that bring you joy, serenity and happiness.
Visualize in your mind a work of art that encompasses those feelings. Now head for the studio and create your inspired entry for this month's CGGE Challenge using the theme "Thankful for....".
The contest begins November 1 and ends promptly at midnight EST November 25th.
Each member may submit one entry only in stained, fused, lamp-worked or mosaic glass.
The entry must be listed in your Etsy shop.
All entries are to be posted to the CGGE Challenge Group site on Flickr.
Voting will be open to all and the winner of the challenge will be featured on our CGGE Home Page.
So CGGE artists, put your thinking caps on again this month and let the world know what you’re especially thankful for in you life.

Congratulations go to Stacey of JS Glass Art for her plate titled, “Black Oak Leaves”.
What a wonderful selection of contest entries! We definitely have great talent and creativity in the CGGE group. Thanks to everyone who participated in this month’s challenge.
Congratulations go to Stacey of JS Glass Art for her plate titled, “Black Oak Leaves”.
Stacey has been working with glass for 10 years. She initially became interested in stained glass. Then, she transitioned into fused glass. Stacey plans to eventually tackle torch work skills as well.
Her winning entry was inspired by the Black Oak tree that is native to California. As one of the few trees in the region that changes colors in the fall, Stacey was inspired to duplicate its beauty in her glass plate.
As a proud member of CGGE, Stacey loves being a part of our glass group where ideas are shared freely and there is always help with glass working techniques.
You can find more of Stacey’s creative glass work at her Etsy shop: http://www.jsglassart.etsy.com/.
