The winner of our September Challenge is Yvonne, of Art Glass Impressions by Yvonne. Always artistic since she was a small child, she discovered the world of glass 5 years ago. Yvonne draws inspiration from the world around her, especially the beauty found in nature. A self-proclaimed night owl, she finds that her creativity flows freely at night, and it is not unusual for her to lose track of time as she works in her studio.
She works from her home studio, where she started out making stained glass. Recently she has been drawn to the world of glass fusing, as her winning piece shows. While stained glass is still a love of hers, Yvonne admits that warm glass is becoming a passion for her as well.
Yvonne balances her time as an artist with being a homeschooling mom of two children. She has been married 15 years. She calls South Florida home and is quite the pet lover with a household that includes two dogs and five cats.
